We caught up with the 6th, 7th and 8th day of upholstery... where Jose from JB Custom Auto Upholstery was doing the new German charcoal carpet and the finished front seats.
So, be warned! I was told over and over... do it all and you won't regret it. I had a new headliner in the car, nothing fancy, but it was relatively new and matched. I did not want to spend the money for the new headliner, so I decided it would be OK to leave the old one, with one correction... the rod that holds the headliner in place towards the back was off the clip. I asked Jose to gut that back up for me and that is when... we found out iy was left off the clip on purpose, since the headliner did not fit properly. So, out came the old headliner and now I'm getting a new one.
Yeah... I went in for a bit of contrast in the seats, and now I have new carpet, new seats, new headliner... If I kwen I was going this far, I probably would have chnaged up the look entirely.... SO! Be sure if you do an interior, you do it ALL!
This started to move a bit slower by end of week. I was unable to check on Friday, 9/21/12, to see what the progress was on the console, but Thursday was un-impressive.
